Do you think it’s a real benefit for jobseekers to have a full driving license? I don’t have one currently but thought it could boost my employability in the future if I did, it’s just the huge expense of the lessons and the test!

I think it depends where you are living and working. If you work in a city centre and you can get to work without a car then it won’t be worth the expense. But having a driver’s licence gives you much more independence and when searching for jobs, being able to commute might be important. It also depends on the type of job you do, some companies may require you to travel for business and this might be easier and more comfortable in your own form of transport. But I agree about the expense – I have my licence but cannot afford to buy, run and insure a car!
