With the rise of university fees, is it worth spending the money on an extra year of education and completing a Masters Degree? I have to admit I was ready to leave when it came to the end of my third year, so I never considered it. However, I have thought about it since I have discovered my passion for journalism/editorial work, wondering if I had looked into it whether I could have improved my CV with a relevant Masters. Anyone out there have any success stories?

It seems as the job market gets more and more competitive people are turning to Masters to get an advantage over other graduates! I think you have to do a Masters for the right reasons: don’t just do it for the sake of it and to try and avoid work for another year! If you’re sure about what you want to do and the area you want to study it can be a good option.
